Many countries want some people to have the roles in military service. Therefore, they have some rules about the process such as oath of enlistment. They demand the people to swear with their heart and with their whole sincerity. That is to say, all the soldiers or the people who have the duties in the military should swear that they will both do the best for their country and do everything they can to save the citizens of their country. That’s why they have to give the oath of enlistment during the military duties. It is not torment since they are eager to give oath of enlistment. It seems obligation but not a torment. They want to create a serious atmosphere to let them realize how the military duty is significant for the country. It symbolizes unity and interdependence in the country accompanied by equality of all the people.
Oath of enlistment reflects all the national feelings of the country. For instance, there are many people in Turkey to give oath of enlistment. During this ritual, soldiers feel all the feelings beside with courage to their skin even to the blood. All the soldiers feel much more courageous than ever there. All the people experience a different atmosphere there. Besides, they anticipate how much they have the passion for their country. In addition, they think that there is nothing important than the country. They vaccinate all the emotions such as love and passion for the country by swearing some sentences through exclamations. However, they give oath with excessive wish to show the love for country.
Process of Oath of Enlistment
Soldiers line in front of military constructions. An officer comes in front of them. He says some statements of the oath. And all of them repeat him after. This process creates a different aura in the area. It is the way of recognition of some national duties, responsibilities and offers. As a citizen you have to obey this progress without rebellion.
