How to Explain a Letter of Intent?
The intent letter is required for master’s degree with thesis, master’s degree without thesis and applications for graduate degree abroad. It can answer these questions such as in which department do you want to study?, Why do you want to study in this department?, What are your experiences in this field?, What do you intend to do after completing your studies?, What are your career goals?.
Why Should You Write a Letter of Intent?
Explain Yourself
First of all, you should be able to explain what you are interested in with the master program or interested business you want to apply. If you have a specific reason for applying for a Master’s degree at that university, you must express it clearly. For example, if you use the academic papers of interested department and refer to that jury academicians. Thus, they will prove that you are conscious and relevant.
Talking about skills and academic achievement in the field will make your letter more dramatic. In addition, candidates should indicate their personal benefits and their contribution to the programme.
Your letter should not be longer than 1 page. Thus, it is important to be shortly and concise.
Begin to explain yourself and why you are writing this letter in the first paragraph. You can mention about your interested experiences. Â If you are applying to a particular job, you should write your name and the job title.
You should provide a specific examples from your experience in the second paragraph. Express your highlight relavant skills about interested department. Also, you should conclude your letter with a brief paragraph. You should follow up and what are your future aims.
Closing Your Letter
You may end with a professional closing such as ‘yours sincerely’ at the end of the letter.
